The Nairobi Innovation Week (NIW) started in 2015, and is an annual event celebrating local and international innovations while enhancing innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. The Nairobi Innovation Week 2022 theme is “Innovation for Transformation and Impact in the society.”

The University of Nairobi, University of Arizona, and Space Trust have partnered to develop a series of Earth-orbiting spacecraft built by university students as a frontier for peace. The peace satellite project, 0G2030, which stands for zero gravity, aligns itself with the UN 2030 agenda for sustainable development.
