Green Jobs Career Fair and Conference: A Vision for Sustainability Takes Root at UoN

As the world grapples with the escalating climate crisis, the University of Nairobi has positioned itself as a hub for sustainable innovation with the inaugural Green Jobs Career Fair and Conference held from February 20-21, 2025. The conference—organized by the Engineering Students Association (ESA) in partnership with the Office of Career Services—aimed to bridge the gap between academia and the growing green economy.

Green Jobs: Careerfair and Conference 2025

The Green Jobs Career Fair & Conference will be held on Thursday 20th and Friday, 21st February 2025 at UoN Towers and Great Court, Main Campus. This is a premier event dedicated to sustainability, green career opportunities, and innovative solutions to environmental challenges. Organized by the Engineering Students Association (ESA) in collaboration with the Office of Career Services, this initiative aligns with the Chancellor’s Big 5 Agenda and aims to localize discussions from COP 29 into grassroots efforts that drive real impact.

Faculty of Engineering Shines at UoN's Staff Recognition Awards

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Nairobi emerged as one of the top performers at the annual Staff Recognition and Awards Ceremony, held on Monday, February 10, 2025. The event, which evaluated ten faculties, 63 teaching departments, and 13 central units, celebrated outstanding contributions to academia, research, and service delivery.
