The University of Nairobi has won 2 Kenya Space Agency (KSA) Research grants for the FY 2020-2021 towards Nanosatellite Development and Small Scale Crop Mapping using Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence. The University of Nairobi is part of a consortium of 4 public Universities comprising of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenyatta University (JKUAT) and Technical University of Kenya that was awarded a research grant worth three million shillings towards the development of a 3U Nanosatellite.
A Second-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering has been awarded the Chinese Ambassador’s Scholarship for the academic year 2021/2022.
