The University of Nairobi's Annual Students' Recognition Ceremony celebrated the outstanding achievements of its diverse student body. The annual event, held on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Taifa Hall, honored 610 students across various categories, including academic excellence, research contributions, artistic talents, social responsibility initiatives, leadership roles, volunteerism, extracurricular activities, and athletic prowess.

The University of Nairobi Alumni Association (UoNAA) launched its first-ever 10 kilometer charity walk on Wednesday, April 16th, 2024. The initiative aims to increase the association's annual scholarship funding, from its current KES 2 million to KES 50 million. This ambitious fundraising effort reflects the alumni's commitment to supporting their alma mater and ensuring educational opportunities for deserving students. The inaugural walk is scheduled for Saturday, May 4th, 2024.

On April 11, 2024, the newly elected UNSA president, Mr. Rocha Madzao, met with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ayub Gitau. Prof. Gitau congratulated Mr. Madzao and his team on their election victory and expressed hope that they would effectively implement their campaign promises.
