On 12th February 2025, Prof. Siphila Mumenya, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, visited the renowned School of Chemistry at ChimieParisTech in Paris. The institution is celebrated for its groundbreaking contributions to chemical sciences. Prof. Mumenya’s visit was part of UoN’s ongoing efforts to strengthen internationalization and foster global academic partnerships. During her visit, she held a consultative meeting with key stakeholders, including Prof. Gilles Gasser, Dean of International Affairs at ChimieParisTech, Dr. Rachel Njogu, a postdoctoral researcher, and Meshack Ikhabi, an MSc student at CentraleSupelec University.

The meeting reinforced the long-standing partnership between UoN and ChimieParisTech, which has been instrumental in advancing collaborative research, student exchanges, and capacity building. Discussions centered on expanding joint initiatives, particularly in areas of mutual interest such as sustainable engineering and chemical innovation. Prof. Mumenya emphasized the importance of such collaborations in addressing global challenges and enhancing the quality of education and research at both institutions.
