The Faculty of Engineering is proud to be part of a growing movement to strengthen engineering education in Africa. On Monday,29th September, The Dean, Prof. Siphila Mumenya, joined fellow deans from across the continent for a special pre-workshop session at Strathmore University. The event focused on sharing ideas and preparing for deeper collaboration in the weeks ahead.

Faculty members from all departments within the Faculty of Engineering will take part in the main CB4EE workshop in October 2025. This is a chance to explore new teaching methods, research on engineering education, and how we can better prepare students for today's global challenges.

The CB4EE initiative is supported by a consortium of leading African and international universities, including the University of Cape Town, University of Pretoria, Strathmore University, Murang’a University of Technology, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, University of Lagos, and KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden). Through workshops, mobility programs, and collaborative research, CB4EE aims to empower engineering educators across Africa to drive sustainable, student-centered educational reform. The University of Nairobi is honored to be part of this impactful initiative.
