Electrical

The department of Electrical and Information Engineering opened in 1964 with 17 students in first year, 20 in second year and only 7 in third year. Since then the department continued to grow with assistance from USAID, UNESCO, NORAD, GERMAN COMMODITY AID, BRITISH COUNCIL and The Government of Kenya among others. The original name of the Department was Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

BIC Art Master Africa 2019 Challenge

Students at the School were presented with an opportunity of becoming the Bic Art Master Africa during 

the launch of the  2019 challenge. A team from Bic shared the details of the contest while gifting the students

with Bic products during their class  interaction. The graphics students were particularly encouraged to take up

the challenge as this will give them a chance for global exposure with Bic Art Collection. 

The contest encourages all ball pen artists across Africa to showcase their creativity while
