Japheth Kiptoo Sang

Japheth Sang is a mechanical engineer having studied BSc Mechanical engineering and soon to graduate with an MSc Energy Management from the University of Nairobi. A skilled Mechanical & Energy Engineer with a hands-on approach tackling projects and accomplishing goals, highly motivated with a strong technical background in load estimating, energy and cost modeling, equipment sizing and the ongoing measurement and verification (M&V) of energy savings post installation.

Sylvia Namalwa Awori

Sylvia N. Awori is an Engineering Analyst at the Kenya Bureau of Standards where she has gained technical experience in checking for quality of engineering products against the requirements of local, regional and international standards for over three years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nairobi. Sylvia has an interest in green energy innovations which prompted her to pursue a Masters in Energy management at the same institution.

AFRETEC Conference 2022

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ayub Gitau attended the inaugural AFRETEC Conference, which was held at Carnegie Mellon University in Rwanda. The two-day conference began on Sunday, November 6, 2022, and ended on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. The conference's main goal was to share innovations at individual universities and explore how these innovations can be leveraged across the entire network.
