Redesigning SMIS, Joseph Suhudu takes us through his innovation.

On Friday 12th March, the university organised its first ever talent show. The event which contained several categories was a culmination of three days of rigorous auditions. In the ‘Innovations’ category, Joseph Suhudu, a 4th year student of Electrical Engineering was the best with his improvement of the Student Management Information System. We had an interview with him and this is what he had to say about his project.

Taming overloading in public transport using innovation.

A first year student from the department of Urban and Regional planning has decided to take on the menace that is public transport in the country. Abundant Karanja has come up with an innovation that uses infrared to detect excess passengers in a motor vehicle. We had a one on one with him and this is what he had to say about the brilliant innovation.

College shines in inaugural talent day

The University of Nairobi today held its inaugural talent day. While presiding over the opening ceremony, Prof. Stephen Kiama (UoN vC) encouraged students to participate and pledged support for talent by the university. He also said that the event will be featured in the university events calendar.    Also present was the DVC AA Prof. Julius Ogengo who emphasized on the importance of universities nurturing talent.
