The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ayub Gitau attended the inaugural AFRETEC Conference, which was held at Carnegie Mellon University in Rwanda. The two-day conference began on Sunday, November 6, 2022, and ended on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. The conference's main goal was to share innovations at individual universities and explore how these innovations can be leveraged across the entire network.

The Faculty of Engineering is committed to linking our students to the industry; our industry partner Viscar Industrial Capacity LTD visited the faculty on Thursday 3rd November 2022 to interact with our undergraduate mechanical engineering students and to introduce the Engineering Graduate Development Program (EGDP).

The 5th edition of the Annual Research Week was held on Monday 24th October to Friday 28th October 2022. 14 Conferences were organized by the various Faculties on the central theme of “Emerging research and technologies for sustainable development in Society”.
