The Department of Civil & Construction Engineering at the University of Nairobi is pleased to share an exciting update on its research partnership with Pyrogen. The collaboration, now in its final stages of formalisation, focuses on pioneering the use of biochar in civil engineering applications — particularly in low-carbon concrete and sustainable construction technologies.

University students got a rare opportunity to engage directly with aviation industry experts during the Aviation Challenge 2025 held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the Chandaria Auditorium, University of Nairobi Towers. The interactive session gave students a platform to share ideas on sustainable aviation and learn from professionals at Kenya Airways and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

On Monday,29th September, The Dean, Prof. Siphila Mumenya, joined fellow deans from across the continent for a special pre-workshop session at Strathmore University. The event focused on sharing ideas and preparing for deeper collaboration in the weeks ahead.
