The Faculty of Engineering co-hosted this year’s World Engineering Day celebrations on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, bringing together engineers, policymakers, academics and students for a day of reflection on the role of engineering in shaping Kenya’s future.
The 4th edition of the Women in Engineering Students Summit (WIESS 4.0) was held on Friday, 27th February 2026 under the theme Igniting New Frontiers: Women Leading the Next Era of Innovation. What began in 2023 as a student-led initiative has become one of the more substantive annual gatherings in the Faculty of Engineering's calendar.
The Faculty of Engineering secured Position Two among the University’s Best Performing Faculties with a composite score of 2.5845 during the 2024–2025 Staff Performance Appraisal Awards held on Thursday, 26 February 2026. The ceremony also marked the signing of the FY2025/2026 Performance Contracts, linking recognition to the next performance cycle.
