The University of Nairobi celebrated its annual graduation ceremony on Friday, September 20, 2024, marking a significant milestone with the inauguration of its new Chancellor, Prof. Patrick Verkooijen. This event also saw the official launch of the University of Nairobi Big 5 initiatives, a series of ambitious projects aimed at reinforcing the institution's role as a leader in education, innovation, and sustainable development. Among the graduates was Dr. Eng. Festus K.

The University of Nairobi played host to a high-level workshop as part of the 10th UNESCO Africa Engineering Week on Thursday, September 12, 2024. The event, focused on "Engineering and Sustainable Development in Kenya," brought together government officials, industry leaders, and academia to address critical challenges facing the continent.
