The University of Nairobi celebrated its 72nd Graduation Ceremony, conferring degrees to 5,243 graduates across ten faculties under the theme "Transforming Society with Adaptive and Innovative Graduates."

The Faculty of Engineering proudly presented 155 graduates: 128 Bachelor’s, 24 Master’s, and 3 PhDs. Among the doctoral graduates were Fausta Mbura Njiru (PhD in Geographical Information Systems), Kennedy Kiprotich Kilel (PhD in Nuclear Science), and Edwin Nyang’wara Omosa (PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering).

Chancellor Prof. Patrick V. Verkooijen inspired the graduates, saying, “The world is waiting for you—go out and shake it for a united, resilient, and prosperous future.” Prof. Siphila Mumenya, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, praised the graduates for their achievements, affirming that “the Faculty continues to produce professionals equipped to tackle global challenges.”

Ag. Deputy Vice Chancellor-Academic Affairs, Eng. Prof. Ayub N. Gitau, encouraged graduates, stating, “Your education has equipped you to address the challenges of our time. Carry forward the legacy of transformation.”

Ag. Vice Chancellor Prof. Margaret Hutchinson congratulated the entire class, remarking, “You represent the strength of your communities and the promise of a brighter Kenya.”
