The Faculty of Engineering is working on a collaborative venture with the University of Windsor, Canada in the various sub disciplines of engineering to boost academic works in both Universities. The collaboration targets both students and staff in both universities. This was disclosed by the Acting Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Duncan Mbuge in a meeting at the Faculty on Wednesday April 9, 2025 with the visiting University of Windsor scholars led by the Dean of Engineering, Dr. Bill Van Heyst and the Associate Vice-President, Enrolment Management, Dr. Chris Busch. The trio met with the Heads of Departments and later held an interactive session with students on the subject; Reimagining Sustainability; Engineering the Blue Print for a Carbon Neutral Future.

The engagement is part of a robust initiative envisaged to culminate in student and staff exchanges, dual degrees, joint supervision and joint research between the two Faculties. University of Windsor, Faculty of Engineering has global recognition for its strong programmes, research and engagement with industry and its collaboration with UoN, will          enhance opportunities for advancement of staff and students in  both universities. The meeting was a follow up activity on collaborative talks that began in 2024.
