On April 11, 2024, the newly elected UNSA president, Mr. Rocha Madzao, met with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ayub Gitau. Prof. Gitau congratulated Mr. Madzao and his team on their election victory and expressed hope that they would effectively implement their campaign promises. The discussion emphasized the importance of academic excellence and student rights, as outlined in their manifesto. Mr. Madzao, a 4th-year BSc Civil & Structural Engineering student, shared his vision for enhancing student welfare and fostering a conducive learning environment. Ubah Abdi Hussein, UNSA Council Treasurer from the Faculty of Law, and Mbaga Odiango, the outgoing Governor-Faculty of Engineering, also attended the meeting. This collaborative effort between student leaders and academic authorities underscores the commitment to student-centered initiatives and promoting educational and personal growth within the University of Nairobi community.
